Cypress Ranch 31, C.E. King 28
Braden Baker helped the Mustangs knock off No. 3 C.E. King to remain undefeated after two games into the season. He finished the game 16 of 20 for 253 yards with four touchdowns. Also, he had 10 carries for 35 yards. He connected with five different receivers.
Katy Jordan 41, Lamar 27
Mo Poko and the Jordan Warriors picked up there first win of the season after defeating Houston ISD powerhouse Lamar. Jordan game was canceled last week against Cypress Woods due to the weather. Poko helped the Warriors with six receptions for 63 yards and a TD. He also had three carries for three yards.
Acadiana 47, Central (Baton Rouge,La.) 35
Marcus Watson Jr. and Marvin Joseph opened up the season down in Louisiana on Friday night.
Watson finished the night with seven receptions for 84 yards with two TDs.
Cypress Springs 33, Hightower 30
Roberson and the Panthers picked up their first win of the season in overtime. Last week, Cy Springs was edged by College Station 21-20.
Newton 40, Franklin 20
Kendray Porter Jr. had 13 carries for 115 yards with three TDs as the Eagles picked up their first win of the season.
Barbers Hill 45, Crosby 20
Raiden Cook had four tackles and one sack as the Eagles remain undefeated on the season.
Midlothian 7, Ennis 6
Jerrell Bridges and the Panthers remain unbeaten on the season after a close one against Ennis.

Tavon Bolden had one interception as Atascocita picked up its first win of the season. The Eagles opened the season with a 28-17 loss to Katy. It’s the first win for Kyle Coats at Atascocita.
