Barbers Hill 65, Clear Creek 13
The Eagles improved to 5-0 this season, rolling past Clear Creek. Raiden Cook had four tackles including one sack and three tackles for loss for Barbers Hill. Cook was one of five players with a sack for the Eagles.
Pearland 49, Pasadena Memorial 0
Pearland remains undefeated this season after a shutout win over Memorial. Oilers linebacker Kamryn Harris had seven tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and a pass deflection.
Jordan 45, Katy Taylor 6
The Warriors routed the Mustangs to improve to 3-1 this season. Wide receiver Mo Poko had three receptions for 25 yards for Jordan. He added three carries for seven yards in the Warriors’ rushing attack.
Newton 46, Liberty-Eylau 6
The Eagles took care of business against Liberty-Eylau. Kendray Porter Jr. had eight carries for 126 yards with two touchdowns. Porter had a 94-yard TD run in the game and it’s the fourth straight game that the talented running back has had for the Eagles this season.
West Monroe 42, Central (Baton Rouge, La.) 36
The Wildcats fell to West Monroe to improve to 2-2 on the season. Wide receiver Marcus Watson Jr. showed his playmaking abilities with 12 receptions for 140 yards with three TDs for the Wildcats.
Bridgeland 31, Cypress Ranch 14
The Mustangs suffered their first loss of the season against Bridgeland. Cy Ranch quarterback Braden Baker finished the game 9 of 14 for 127 yards with one touchdown and once interception.
